Atlanta, Georgia (September 22, 2004) ? Atlanta
based Moore Colson, hosted a ?lunch and learn? presentation this
past Friday, September 17, by MUST Ministries Communications and
Special Events Coordinator, Joyce Tripp-Miller. Joyce provided a
perspective look at the organization?s daily operations, as well
as an overview of the special needs at MUST Ministries, a local
non-profit, faith-based organization, which helps those in need
with food clothing and housing. At the conclusion of the presentation
Moore Colson presented MUST Ministries with a monetary donation
as well as a collection of essential supplies from toothpaste, deodorant,
paper towels and plates to soap, shampoo, sunscreen and laundry
detergent. The two organizations plan to team up throughout the
coming year, to work on a number of projects assisting those in
need.
According to Joyce Tripp-Miller of MUST Ministries, there are many
ways to help. ?People tend to think we need can foods, which we
do, but there are so many other things we desperately need like
seasonal items, gloves and coats to underwear, socks, men?s boots
and work shoes. Not only can one donate goods?, says Joyce, ?but
they can also donate their time. For instance, we are always in
need of volunteers to cook and serve meals or collect, assemble
and distribute food boxes. We serve three meals 365 days of the
year, so volunteers are the backbone of MUST?.
?Moore Colson and MUST Ministries are planning to jointly participate
in a program, ?Toys are a MUST?, to help provide families with toys
for their children around the Holidays.? Says Leah Manderano, Moore
Colson?s MUST Ministries project coordinator. ?We hope our joint
efforts can make their holiday season a little brighter?. We have
been involved with MUST Ministries for almost a year now, and have
recently stepped up efforts to really make a difference.? Says Leah.
?MUST Ministries provides such a gift to the community, much more
than one would think. We hope Moore Colson can help make a difference.
We think our help is a MUST.?
