Moore Colson recently announced the hiring of five new professionals
in Business Assurance, Lender Services, and Corporate Accounting.
Details are as follows.
Alexander E. Kahn joins the Moore Colson Tax Team after running
his own law firm where he provided estate-planning consultation
as well as advice on sophisticated tax-efficient wealth transfer
strategies including family and partnerships and corporations. Alex
also coordinated compatibility of employee benefit plans, insurance
and property titling with estate planning documents.
Prior to starting his own business, Alex was an Account Manager
with The Ayco Company, L.P. where he provided Personal Financial
Counseling. Alex reviewed, designed and oversaw implementation of
tax-effective wealth transfer strategies, using techniques including;
Grantor Retained Income Trusts, Family Partnerships, Generations
Skipping Trusts, Charitable Foundations, etc.
At Moore Colson, Alex will be responsible for developing estate
and financial strategies for high net worth individuals. Alex holds
a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac College of Law in Hamden CT. and
graduated in the top 12% of his class. Alex also holds a Bachelor
in Political Science from Arizona State University. (photo attached).
William J. Boyd Jr. is an Associate in Business Assurance and comes
to us from Smith Barney where he served as an intern working with
confidential client records, distributing stock wire for brokers.
Billy has a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State
University and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University
of Georgia.
Julia D. Kersey is a Senior Associate in Corporate Accounting. Julia
comes to Moore Colson from Michael & Company, CPA's where she managed
a compilation department within the firm. Julia also instituted
a reporting process on a weekly basis for updates to the owner and
implemented documentation procedures on client files and standard
backup procedures.
Mark T. Kurzawa is a Senior Associate in Lender Services. Mark joins
the Moore Colson Family after serving eight years with Bank of America
as Assistant Vice President, Asset Based Finance Field Exam and
Assistant Vice President, Trust Tax Compliance officer. Mark was
responsible for performing asset based finance field exams on potential
and existing commercial loan customers and was responsible for the
preparation and filing of over 250 federal and state fiduciary income
tax returns. Mark holds an MS Taxation from Georgia State University
and a BS Accounting and Finance from Florida State University.
Darlene Parker attended Berry College and obtained a degree in Accounting
and Finance. Formerly with Moore & Cubbedge, Darlene worked as an
audit intern assisting with preparation of financial statements
and performed audit procedures for cash, liability, and fixed assets.
Darlene also operated their GoSystem audit software package. Darlene
was a member of the Berry College Accounting Association and a member
of the Executive Round Table. Darlene will join Moore Colson's Business
Assurance Team.
Kellie Vincent will join the Business Assurance Team on January
31. Kellie holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix Online and
a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University
of Louisiana-Monroe, Monroe, Louisiana. Kellie previously worked
for Beemer, Pricher, Kuehnhackl & Heidbrink, P.A. in Orlando, Florida.
Kellie was a Staff Accountant responsible for planning, execution,
and documentation of audit procedures including compilations, recognizing
and reporting potential audit issues. Kellie also served as a Staff
Accountant for Control Technologies in Sanford, Florida. Kellie
made the Dean's List at the University of Louisiana and was voted
most outstanding Greek in 2002.
