Colson Continues Growth Pattern in 2005 Adds Three Professionals
Atlanta based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently
announced the hiring of three new professionals in Business
Assurance and Tax Services.
Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service firm located in
Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax and assurance services, management
consulting services, estate and financial services, lender services
and IT audit services.
Matthew J. Frank, CPA, joins Moore Colson’s Business Assurance
practice as a Supervisor and comes to Moore Colson from Norman,
Jones, Enlow, & Co., in Columbus, OH. As a Senior Accountant at
Norman, Jones, Enlow, & Co., Matt Planned engagements, supervised
the audit team, reviewed workpapers prepared by the audit team and
presented financial statements to management and boards of
directors. Matt was also named “NJE All-Star” for 2002 tax season
and nominated for the award on multiple other occasions. Matt is a
graduate of The Ohio State University, Max M. Fisher College of
Business, Columbus, OH with a BSBA, Accounting, and Baldwin Wallace
College, Berea, OH. Matt is also a certified CPA in Ohio as well as
Georgia, and has over 290 hours of continuing professional
education.
Chris Steedly, formerly with Stresser & Associates in Atlanta, comes
to Moore Colson as a Senior Associate in the Tax Services practice.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Chris holds a Bachelor of
Business Administration and also is currently completing the
necessary hours for CPA certification with Keller Graduate School of
Management. As a Senior Accountant at Stresser & Associates, Chris
was involved with preparation of tax returns and tax research for C
and S status corporations, 5500’s, trusts, not-for-profits, and
individuals. Chris also worked with clients to resolve Internal
Revenue Service issues, consulted clients on the tax implications of
their activities and on changes in the new tax laws.
Kelly Wilcox is the newest member of Moore Colson’s Business
Assurance team. Kelly joins the firm as an Associate. Kelly formerly
worked with Habif, Arogeti and Wynne, LLP, Atlanta. At HA & W, Kelly
complied quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements,
processed quarterly payroll reports and projected 2004 tax
liabilities for over 30 clients. Kelly is a graduate of Kennesaw
State
University with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Accounting.
Kelly has also passed the CPA exam.
