Atlanta, Georgia (June 16, 2005) – Atlanta based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of four new professionals in Business Assurance and IT Audit Services. Details are as follows.

Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing estate and financial services, lender services, IT audit services, management consulting services, and tax and assurance services.

Mary Alice Parker joins the Moore Colson team as a Business Assurance Associate. Mary Alice is a May 2005 graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting Business. From Winder, Georgia, Mary Alice was an elected member of Student Government Finance Committee, Executive Vice President of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and received the Oeland Accounting Scholarship from Presbyterian College.

John Tanous is an IT consulting in the Business Assurance practice. John has over nine years experience leading IT projects, including IT audits system risk assessments, and security and controls implementation in the manufacturing, higher education, public sector, financial, retail and services industries.

Most recently, John worked as an independent consultant on various projects including a SOX audit for Consolidated Container Company, Atlanta, Sox compliance with Scientific Games of Atlanta and a PeopleSoft security review for Kmart Corporation. John also worked for KPMG LLP as a Risk Advisory Services Manager and held positions with Andersen Consulting and Norrell Corporation. John holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a BA from the University of North Carolina.

Dustin Emhart is a Senior Associate in the Business Assurance practice. Prior to coming to Moore Colson, Dustin worked for KPMG LLP, Washington, DC as a Senior Accountant where he audited federal government departments, under generally accepted audit standards and government auditing standards, as well as local government financial statement audits and single audits. Dustin audited commercial clients, including requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) as well. Dustin also worked with Parrish, Moody & Fikes, p.c., Waco, Texas as a Senior Accountant. Dustin is a graduate of North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC with a Master of Accounting, August 2000 and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, May 1999. Dustin has passed all parts of uniform CPA exam and his application for CPA license in Georgia is in process.

Brian Cooper also joins the Moore Colson Business Assurance team as an Associate. Brian, a CPA, comes to Moore Colson from Intown Suites Management in Atlanta, where he served as a staff accountant. While working with Intown Suites Management, Brian developed an Access database to optimize the tracking and disbursement of refunds issued to guests. Brian also constructed an Access database to assure timely and accurate filing of permits and business licenses. Brian also worked with The Home Depot as a staff accountant and is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY with a Bachelor of Science, Accounting – May 1996
