Moore Colson, CPA, Hires Three New Professionals
Atlanta, Georgia (December 19, 2006) – Atlanta based accounting
firm, Moore Colson, CPA, recently announced the hiring of three new
professionals; Katherine Walker - Tax Senior Associate in Moore
Colson’s Tax Services practice, Deborah Hall - Tax Manager also in
Moore Colson’s Tax Services practice, and Ann Rogers - Business
Assurance Supervisor in Moore Colson’s Business Assurance practice.
Ann will serve as an independent contractor and will work in the
firm’s Business Assurance practice through March 31, 2007. Moore
Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service firm located in Atlanta,
Georgia, providing tax and assurance services, management consulting
services, estate and financial services, lender services and IT
audit services.
Katherine Walker, Tax Senior Associate, previously worked with
Babush, Neiman, Kornman, & Johnson, LLP, Atlanta, GA, where she
served as a Staff Accountant. While working with BNKJ, Katherine
managed engagements at the client level for closely-held businesses
and their owners, assisted with financial statement audit, review
and compilation engagements, and managed the firm’s personal
property tax engagement. Katherine holds a Master’s of Business
Analysis from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor’s of Business
Administration in Accounting from Georgia State University.
Ann Rogers, Business Assurance Supervisor, will serve as an
independent contractor and will work in the firm’s Business
Assurance practice through March 31, 2007. Ann was formerly an
Assurance Senior with Bennett Thrasher PC. Ann planned and performed
audits and reviews for clients within the retail, service, real
estate, distribution, and commercial real estate industries. Ann
reviewed client financial statements, led CE training and supervised
senior and staff accountants. Ann also worked for Cherry Bekaert &
Holland as a staff accountant where she performed audits and
compilations of small to mid-sized privately held companies. Ann is
a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science
in Accounting.
Deborah Hall, Tax Manager, comes to the Moore Colson family from
Moore Stephens Tiller, LLC where she also served as a Tax Manager.
Deborah was responsible for federal and state compliance, provision
review and tax research for the firm’s largest business clients.
Deborah also served with several other organizations in similar
roles as Controller, Tax Consultant and Senior Tax Staff. Deborah
holds a BBA, MTX from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia and
graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude.
