Atlanta, Georgia (November 8, 2007) – Atlanta based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of Melissa Grubbs, CPA, as a Senior Associate in its Business Assurance Services Practice. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax and assurance services, real estate services, management consulting services, estate and financial services, lender advisory services and IT audit services.

Prior to joining to Moore Colson, Melissa worked for Draffin & Tucker, LLP. , Albany, Georgia, where she worked as a Staff Accountant II. While with Draffin & Tucker, Melissa managed audit engagements, prepared financial statements including year-end adjustments, presented financial statement highlights to audit committee board members, prepared Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement reports. Melissa also worked for H&R Block as a Client Service Coordinator in Troy, Alabama.

Melissa has a Masters of Business Administration, emphasis in Accounting, from Troy State University, 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Troy State University, 2003. Melissa is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is currently preparing to be licensed as a CPA.
