Atlanta, Georgia (November 8, 2007) – Greg Colson, Managing Partner of Atlanta based accounting firm Moore Colson, was recently selected as the 2007 guest speaker for Georgia Southern University’s Executive-in-Residence program. Each Fall, the Georgia Southern University School of Accountancy sponsors its annual Executive-in-Residence program. Initiated in 1996, the School brings in high profile, highly successful executives and GSU graduates to encourage and advise accounting students on what it takes to attain rewarding and successful careers. The school invites an executive from a different career path each year to illustrate the vast array of opportunities that exits for accounting graduates. Greg Colson, addressed students, faculty as well as several guests. His topic; The Journey of the Accountant, took a look back at ancient accounting practices in Mesopotamia through modern times. Prior to the event, students were asked to submit questions for Mr. Colson on topics that most interested them. The presentation was concluded with a dinner at the Statesboro country club.

Greg Colson is the former IGAF Worldwide - Chairman of the Board, North America. He is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University (B.B.A., Accounting, 1970), where he served as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Georgia Southern University Foundation.
