Atlanta Native Beth Winter Wins Firm Peak Award
Atlanta native Beth Winter was recently presented with the Peak
Award, for her significant contributions, by employer and Atlanta
based CPA accounting firm, Moore Colson. Beth Winter is the firm’s
Tax Services Administrator, and a graduate of Riverwood High School,
Atlanta, Georgia, Young Harris College, Young Harris, Georgia and
Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor
of Science in Management degree. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a
full-service CPA firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax and
audit services, management consulting services, estate and financial
services, lender services and information technology audit services.
Beth joined the firm’s Tax Services Practice at the beginning of
what is typically referred to as “Busy Season”, which required
learning multiple policies, procedures, software applications, etc.
in order to serve the needs of the firm during a very demanding time
of the year. Beth quickly adapted, and was able to successfully
provide post-process review of all tax compliance, operational
management of the tax practice, and management of the very critical
due date calendar. Beth worked many long hours and weekends and made
a positive impact on the Tax Services business. Beth joined Moore
Colson in 1992 as the firm’s administrator. Most recently Beth
served as the firm’s Administrator and finance assistant.
The firm’s Peak Award is given quarterly to an individual based on a
significant contribution to the firm and work performed that is
considered above and beyond expectations or something unique that an
individual brought to the firm which has made a significant impact.
Beth, a long-time Moore Colson employee, received the Peak Award
honor at the firm’s Annual Spring CPE at the Georgian Club.
