Moore Colson Adds Former Big 4 Assurance Partner and Southeast Real Estate Practice Leader to the Firm

Atlanta, Georgia (January 10, 2007) – Atlanta based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the admission of Steve LaMontagne as partner of its real estate practice. Prior to Joining Moore Colson, Steve worked as Assurance Partner and Southeast Real Estate Practice Leader for KPMG, LLP. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax and assurance services, real estate, management consulting services, estate and financial services, and IT audit services.

Steve has worked with KPMG, LLP since 1983 and for most of his professional career as a CPA with specialization in real estate accounting, reporting, and auditing. Steve became the leader of their Atlanta office real estate practice in 1997 and shortly thereafter became the Director of the Real Estate Practice for the entire southeast. Steve also serves on several National Committees utilizing his expertise in the area of real estate finance including leasing, mergers and acquisitions, financings, public offerings and sales of real estate.

Steve is involved in several professional organizations including the National Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPA's, the National Association of Real Estate Companies, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, and The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.

Steve received his B.S. Degree from Florida State University where he graduated in 1983. Steve and his wife Elaine have two children and attend Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, GA., where he is very active in the men's ministry. Most recently Steve participated in two mission trips to Mexico. His hobbies and interests include coaching youth sports in baseball and basketball, running, weight lifting, reading, traveling and spending time with family.
