Atlanta Based Moore Colson Adds Two Business Assurance
Associates to the Professional Staff
Atlanta, Georgia (January 11, 2008) – Atlanta based accounting firm,
Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of Ashlie Shepard,
Business Assurance Associate, and Jonathan Lambert, Business
Assurance Associate. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a
full-service firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax and
assurance services, real estate, management consulting services,
estate and financial services, and IT audit services.
Ashlie Shepard is a 2007 graduate of East Carolina
University, and joined Moore Colson’s Business Assurance team as a
Business Assurance Associate on January 2, 2008. Ashlie has a BS and
MS combined degree in Accounting. Ashlie worked in the Financial
Services Department for East Carolina University for the past year
and was responsible for preparing spreadsheets and reconciling
various accounts, scholarship accounts, loan accounts and grant
accounts. She also worked as a Librarian’s Assistant at the
University’s Joyner Library where she filed invoices/order forms and
was responsible for managing multiple gift donations and accounting
for gift books. Ashlie is a member of Beta Alpha Psi, The National
Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Sigma Theta national Honor
Society and Student Accounting Society. She also made the honor roll
for fall, 2002 – 04 and spring 2003 – 06.
Jonathan Lambert also joined the firm on Wednesday, January
2, as a Business Assurance Associate in the firm’s Business
Assurance Services Practice. Jonathan is a graduate of Georgia State
University, Atlanta, Georgia, with a Post Baccalaureate in
Accounting, and a BS Degree in Business Administration from
Franciscan University of Steubenville, Steubenville, Ohio. Prior to
joining Moore Colson, Jonathan was a staff accountant with firstPro
Inc corporate, Atlanta, Georgia. In this position, Jonathan worked
with clients to resolve billing and payroll discrepancies,
maintained all A/R transactions, and managed weekly gross margin
reporting for 15 divisions. Jonathan also worked as a contract
accountant with Vicar lighting, Atlanta, Georgia, an
Intern/Accounting Assistant with Neace Lukens, Cleveland, Ohio, and
served as assistant to national director for Juventud Missionera,
Tecamechalco, Mexico City, Mexico. Over the past several years,
Jonathan has been involved with Conquest Boys Club, Franciscan
University Rugby, Eagle Scouts, and directed leadership training
programs for high school boys.
