Moore Colson Senior Manager Honored by YMCA

Atlanta, Georgia (November 19, 2008) – Atlanta based accounting firm, Moore Colson, CPAs, recently announced that Kelly Dixon, Senior Business Assurance Manager, was honored at the Metro Atlanta YMCA’s Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner at the Cobb Galleria Centre on November 17, 2008. Kelly was named one of the 2008 Volunteers of the Year, and was recognized for his ongoing work with Camp High Harbour.

Kelly started attending Camp High Harbour at the age of nine, and at 16, became a camp counselor. He worked for the Y for nine years, volunteered for the past three, and is now an active member of the YMCA Camp High Harbour board. Kelly has been instrumental in upholding the values and ideals taught by the YMCA; To serve and teach others to serve. To build character to help kids develop confidence to face life’s challenges. Ironically, Kelly met his wife at Camp High Harbour five years ago.

Kelly has worked in Moore Colson’s Business Assurance Practice since 2003. Prior to joining Moore Colson in 2003, Kelly served as an intern with Moore Colson where he assisted in performance of year-end audits and Lender Service engagements. Over the last five years Kelly has been promoted numerous times to his current role as Senior Business Assurance Manager. Kelly was the recipient of Moore Colson’s Peak Award, the firm’s most prestigious award of recognition for those who have excelled in their job performance. Kelly exemplifies Moore Colson’s core values.

At Moore Colson, Kelly works closely with financial audits and reviews for clients. With experience in compliance work, internal control reporting, due diligence, IT auditing and general business consulting, Kelly’s business experience includes serving clients in the manufacturing, service, retail and construction industries.

Kelly is a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.S., Accounting, 2003 and B.S., Management Information Systems 2003). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kelly is also a middle school small group leader at Buckhead Church.
