Moore Colson CPAs Hires Director for Firm’s Lender Services Practice

Atlanta, Georgia (July 8, 2008) – Atlanta based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of Mark Pickering as its Director of Lender Services practice. Mark has over 17 years experience in the asset-based lending and public accounting industries. Founded in 1981, Moore Colson is a full-service accounting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing; tax and assurance services, management consulting services, lender services, estate and financial services, real estate, and IT audit services.

Prior to joining Moore Colson in 2008, Mark was a Director with the asset-based lending division of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey (“SunTrust”). His 13+ years in the asset-based lending divisions of SunTrust, Guaranty Business Credit Corporation and Fleet Capital Corporation include experience in marketing, underwriting, and portfolio management. Mark understands the demands and pressures facing asset-based lenders and has experience in managing the underwriting process on prospective clients and presenting credit approval packages to bank credit committees. He has also guided troubled portfolio clients through work-outs, bankruptcy filings, as well as performed special projects and liquidation procedures to assist in the recovery of assets on deteriorating credits.

In addition to his asset-based lending experience, Mark has a background as a CPA working for KPMG. Primary responsibilities with KPMG included managing audit engagements and performing the due diligence procedures in conjunction with clients’ initial and secondary public offerings.

Mark is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, New York, with a Bachelor of Science – Business Administration / concentrations in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (GA Chapter) and has been affiliated with the Commercial Finance Association, (Atlanta Chapter) since 1996.
