Atlanta CPA Firm Moore Colson Adds Four To Professional Staff

Atlanta, Georgia (January 13 2009) – Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the hiring of four new firm employees. Brydee Warner, Business Assurance Associate, Brad Parker, Business Assurance Associate, Jordan Shane, Business Assurance Senior Associate and Marissa Hinds, Tax Associate. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service accounting and consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax, assurance, real estate, management consulting, estate and financial planning, and IT audit services.

Originally from Australia, Brydee Warner is a graduate of Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama, with a B.S. degree in Accounting. Brydee served as an intern in Moore Colson’s Business Assurance Practice this past spring. While attending Samford University, Brydee was a member of the Dean’s List since 2004 and was Vice President of Planning for Beta Alpha Psi. She was the recipient of the Ernst and Young Scholarship (2007-8), and the Richard D. Horsley Scholarship (2006-7).

Brad Parker, also a graduate of Samford University, served as an intern with Moore Colson during the summer of 2008. Brad received a B.S. degree in Accounting and returns to Moore Colson as a Business Assurance Associate. While attending Samford, Brad was a varsity basketball manager, recipient of the Cook’s Pest Control Scholarship, Rushing Scholarship - Baptist Foundation, and a member of the Dean’s List.

Jordan Shane, CPA, is a new Business Assurance Senior Associate and joins the Moore Colson after working with KPMG, LLP, Atlanta, Georgia. While working with KPMG, LLP, Jordan was responsible for quarterly and annual audit procedures for large public companies, assisted in the development of client audit strategies, provided recommendations and solutions for client accounting processes during annual Sarbanes-Oxley testing procedures, and was an in-charge of special projects for agreed upon procedures as well as client 401(k) and benefit plan audits. Jordan is a graduate of The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Minneapolis, with a Bachelor of Science in Business.

Marissa Hinds, is a new Tax Associate with the firm and served as an intern with Moore Colson during the summer of 2008. Marissa is a HOPE Scholarship recipient, member of the Dean’s List, and the University’s Honors program, and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She recently received a BBA degree with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia.
