Moore Colson Senior Tax Manager Steven Murphy Wins Firm’s Peak Award

Atlanta, Georgia (May 18, 2009) – Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson CPAs, recently announced that Steven Murphy, Senior Tax Manager, was the recipient of the firm’s coveted Peak Award for his significant contributions to the firm. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service accounting and consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax, assurance, real estate, management consulting, estate and financial planning, IT audit consulting, and lender services.

Steven was awarded the Peak due to his dedication to the firm, his team members and clients. Nominations reported on Steven’s consistent eagerness to help and guide his staff and others throughout the firm. Steven was also noted as always being ready to offer assistance not only to his clients, but other firm clients as well.

Steven joined the firm in 2007 as a Senior Tax Manager in the firm’s Tax Services Practice. Prior to joining Moore Colson, Steven spent the first two years of his career at Arthur Andersen LLP, where he worked in their Mergers and Acquisitions group. He then spent two years with Deloitte & Touche LLC, and most recently worked with another Atlanta area accounting firm.
Steven is a graduate of the University of Georgia (Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting and a MAcc, Tax Specialization). Steven is a professional member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
