Estate and Financial Strategies: Services

Estate Planning

As we begin the review process for your current estate plan, we will work with your estate attorney or within our attorney network to have documents drafted at below market rates. We review and revise asset ownership and beneficiary designations to fit the new estate plan and provide estate analysis and projection of total estate tax liability, including estate tax reduction and deferral strategies.

Gift Taxes

We will review and develop gifting strategies to maximize control over assets transferred, tax efficiency and estate tax leveraging. Some examples of gift taxes to consider are: GRATs, Gift Trusts, FLPs, QPRTs, and Education Funding

Succession Planning

Business plans are reviewed to ensure proper efficient transfers and buyouts at death. We will work with outside counsel to revise business succession plans to ensure that decedent's heirs are cared for without depleting company resources.

Employee Benefit Planning

To assure that clients are maximizing wealth building potential and tax strategies within company plans, benefits and elections are reviewed as well as your investment options.

Stock Option Planning

Stock option strategies are reviewed to maximize wealth building opportunities while limiting exposure to single-stock risk. We are also able to review and project income tax consequences of stock option strategies for both non-qualified and incentive stock options.

Asset Allocation

We review and assess your current asset allocation in light of risk tolerance and short, intermediate and long term cash flow requirements. We then develop investment strategies to limit risks associated with concentrated stock/industry positions and monitor investment portfolio and advise on market and event driven reallocations.

Life Insurance Analysis

We assess your current coverage levels and sources of life insurance in consideration of cash flow needs and can assist in obtaining coverage.

Property and Casualty

In light of a client's overall asset level and risk exposure, we provide a review and analysis of current property and casualty insurance coverage, and assist clients in managing changes and updates to coverage levels

Short Term Cash Flow

Short-term cash flow requirements are reviewed on a regular basis, and we provide assistance in obtaining short-term financing for business or personal needs. We also carefully monitor debt levels and structures to maximize pay-down and increase cash flow in a tax efficient manner

Retirement Cash Flow

We consider and define your retirement goals to better ensure progress is made to maximize tax efficient savings vehicles and structure forced savings plans outside of employee benefit programs to pre-fund retirement objectives.

Survivor Cash Flow

In the event of an unlikely death, it is extremely important to ensure that the surviving spouse and children are adequately provided for. In this situation, we review current and projected cash flow models, revisit asset titling and estate structure to ensure tax efficient wealth transfer and revisit cost structure of current life insurance coverage to maximize death benefits while minimizing out of pocket premium costs.

Education Funding

We project and structure education funding mechanisms within current and future cash flow confines and, in light of tax efficiencies, and design an estate plan to ensure that education funding is provided for after death.
