Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting, and advisory firm in Atlanta, announced Consulting Director Lloyd Lane, CPA, CGMA, CFE, has joined the board for the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), a leading association aimed to mitigate fraud from a business and personal perspective. The Georgia Chapter of ACFE works to provide its members with education, training, and professional networking.

Lane was appointed to a two-year term on the board starting in 2020. He currently serves as the chairman of the Speakers Committee, securing a monthly guest speaker from either the private or government sector who provides education to members on anti-fraud topics and investigative trends.

In his role with the Moore Colson Consulting Practice, Lane conducts financial statement fraud investigations and provides expert witness reports and testimony in litigation cases involving disputes between shareholders, financial institutions and stockholders. He also serves as an accounting and operations manager for various businesses under receivership, where he manages daily operations, including vendor relations, inventory control, forecasting and cash flow. In addition, Lane develops forecasts, budgets, cash flows and business plans for clients and their stakeholders while designing internal controls procedures for operations and accounting units to safeguard assets and assist in the management of the company.

Lane holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Birmingham Southern College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), where he serves on the Fraud and Forensic Services Advisory Council. Lane is also an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.

“I am honored to join the ACFE Georgia Chapter board,” noted Lane. “After many years of involvement with the association, I continue to be impressed with the services and benefits provided to members.
