Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting, and advisory firm in Atlanta, recently announced Director Tyler Wright, CPA/ABV/CFF, as a recipient of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) 2020 Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS) Standing Ovation award.

AICPA honored 22 young CPAs who received the Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS) Standing Ovation for significant contributions in their accounting specialty areas and their communities. The recipients, all talented CPAs age 40 and under, were acknowledged during AICPA’s 2020 Forensic and Valuation Services Conference. The AICPA’s Standing Ovation program recognizes young CPAs who exhibit exemplary professional achievement in personal financial planning, business valuation and forensic accounting, and information management and technology assurance. Beyond making a notable contribution to the profession, nomination requirements include maintaining an active CPA license, being an AICPA member in good standing and holding either the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) or Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) specialty credential.

In the Forensic and Valuation Services Standing Ovation Honors category, Wright was one of 22 award CPA recipients who all hold either the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) or Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential and have been recognized for their contributions in the area of forensic accounting or business valuation.

Wright is a director in Moore Colson’s Consulting Practice. His primary focus is helping lead the consulting practice and its engagements, nurturing client relationships, providing consultative advice and driving continued efficiencies while enabling the firm’s growth. Drawing on his experience as an external auditor, internal auditor and forensic accountant, Wright provides accounting and financial advice in forensic investigations and commercial disputes. His professional background includes over 15 years of progressive forensic accounting, fraud investigation and legal dispute experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. Wright is an active member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He also serves as a leadership council member of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF).

“I am honored to be recognized as an AICPA Standing Ovation award recipient,” noted Wright. “It is a humbling experience to be recognized alongside other young, talented professionals who are at the forefront of forensic accounting and valuation services. As a longtime member of the AICPA, I continue to be impressed by the effort the organization makes to recognize leaders within the industry.
