AICPA honored eleven young CPAs for contributions to their specialty area with the fifth annual Standing Ovation award. The recipients, all talented CPAs age 40 and under, were acknowledged during AICPA’s ENGAGE 2020 conference. In the Information Management and Technology Assurance Standing Ovation Honors category, Powell was one of six award CPA recipients who all hold the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) specialty credential and have been recognized for their contributions in the area of information management and technology assurance.

Powell also leads Moore Colson’s data analytics initiatives by utilizing tools such as IDEA, ACL and Monarch. Powell serves as a board member and is actively involved with the Atlanta Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
