Moore Colson, the number one ranked Best of the Best CPA and advisory firm in the United States by Inside Public Accounting, recently announced the hiring of April Eckardt, CPA, and Journet Greene, CISA, as senior managers.
Eckardt joins Moore Colson with over 24 years of progressive corporate accounting, consulting, and financial management experience. Eckardt has worked with a wide range of companies including start-up, publicly-owned, nonprofit, and private-equity backed.
Prior to Moore Colson, Eckardt served as interim vice president of finance at Prelude Fertility, a private-equity-backed fertility preservation company in Atlanta, GA, where she was responsible for cash forecasting, line of credit management, insurance selection, audit management, and oversight of tax preparation.
Eckardt also worked as vice president of finance / CFO at Azalea Health Innovations, a software as a service startup in Atlanta where she was responsible for all reporting, treasury, and M&A duties. Eckardt held similar roles as treasurer, director, and controller with numerous companies since 2008. Eckardt began her career with the Georgia-Pacific Corporation where she progressed from an entry-level corporate accounting role to managing manufacturing accounting teams in the paper and distribution department and front-line operations.
Eckardt received her Bachelor of Science in Management with minors in Accounting and Pulp and Paper from the Georgia Institute of Technology. At Moore Colson, her responsibilities will include helping lead the Corporate Accounting Practice, nurturing client relationships, providing consultative advice, driving continued efficiencies, and developing the team while enabling the firm’s continued growth.
Greene joins Moore Colson with over 13 years of progressive accounting and consulting advisory experience with a background in auditing the various aspects of information technologies, such as the performance of SOX 404 and JSOX assessments, business process reviews, and ERP implementation reviews. Prior to Moore Colson, Greene served as a risk advisory senior manager with Ernst & Young LLP in Atlanta where she was responsible for leading multiple external audit compliance and SOC reporting engagement teams, practice development initiatives, as well as new business development. Greene began her career as a staff associate within its Advisory Services Practice where she quickly rose to senior associate and then manager over an eight-year period.
Greene received her bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Alabama. At Moore Colson, Greene’s responsibilities will include helping lead the Risk Advisory and Compliance Services Practice while enabling the firm’s continued growth with a special focus on the Public and Large Private Practice.
