Atlanta, Georgia (October, 2015) – Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson recently announced the winner of the firm’s coveted Peak Award. The second trimester 2015 winner is Evelyn Poulos, Direct of Talent. The two runners-up are Jonathan Levens – Tax Senior Manager and Michelle Brooks – Corporate Accounting Senior Associate. The Moore Colson Peak Award is given to an individual each trimester, based on significant contributions to the firm and work performed that is considered above and beyond expectations or something unique that an individual brought to the firm which has made a significant impact.
Formerly a Senior Manager in the firm’s Business Assurance Practice since 2011, Evelyn Poulos was appointed as the firm’s new Director of Talent in 2014. Over the course of the past year, Evelyn has elevated Moore Colson’s ability to attract and hire top talent for all practice areas in the firm. Most recently, Evelyn created and developed the firm’s first annual summer enrichment program, DIRECTION 2015 for college accounting students. This two-day event held in August, was a success for the firm and resulted in Evelyn receiving multiple nominations for the Peak Award.

Evelyn has over 20 years of experience serving start-up, middle market, and large private and public companies. Evelyn served as an advisor to Moore Colson clients in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting systems and controls, and financial restructuring. She also served as one of the firm’s technical advisory leaders related to accounting issues. Prior to joining Moore Colson, Evelyn was a Senior Manager with Gifford, Hillegass & Ingwersen, LLP, Dunwoody, Georgia.
Evelyn is a CPA and 1990 graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a B.S. in Business Administration. She is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), and PrimeGlobal’s Women’s Leadership Program. PrimeGlobal is one of the largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world.
